Brad started his shipping career as a trainee Freight Forwarder in 1994 and completed his apprenticeship in 1996. He has completed CATS 1&2 on the German model of freight forwarding and commercial training.

Between 1999 and 2006 Brad gained international experience living as an expatriate in African countries namely, Lagos Nigeria, Accra Ghana and Dar es Salaam Tanzania. During this time he worked in various positions finally becoming Country Manager running a Freight Management and Contract Logistics business. After seven years as a full time expat his wife, Jenny and he decided to head home to South Africa.

Brad joined Access in March 2006 as the Project Manager. He later assumed the General Manager role as well as that of Project Manager. In October 2007 Access established Access Freight Projects and Brad assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer.
