Access Freight Logistics can provide an end to end supply chain solution including Freight Forwarding and Customs Brokerage services, Project Management for the logistical movement of out-of-gauge and abnormal cargo, the handling and movement of bulk minerals, fresh produce, automotives, palletized goods and Transport and Distribution in and out of South Africa. We have large bonded warehouses and a Customs License Depot.

The Access Freight Logistics container freight station is located at Edwin Swales Drive, Durban, 5 km from the busiest container depot in Africa with direct road and rail links to all the major South African industrial and business centers and SADEC countries
Access Freight Logistics is 25.1 % owned by Thembeka Capital which is 51% owned by black shareholders. These shareholders comprise 6.2% black directors, 7.5% of over 500 black individual shareholders and 37.3% of several 100% black broad-based trusts with over 10 000 beneficiaries.

Access Freight Logistics provide secure and well controlled logistics supply chain services create partnerships deals with structured finance service providers and traders to assist in making global trade deals possible in Africa. A pledge of stocks agreement is entered into between the Trader and the Trade Financier as security for the financier in terms of the finance facilities. Access Freight Logistics will hold all stock against warehouse receipts and stock holding certificates to the order of the financier and Access Freight Logistics will only release stock against the financier’s written authority. The financier appoints Access Freight Logistics to be the financier’s agent to possess, hold and control the stock on behalf of the financier, in terms of the pledge agreement.

The Durban base clearing and forwarding office is situated at the container freight station and has long standing relationships with all the key logistics service providers, such as major shipping lines, cartage contractors, customs and South African Ports Authorities. Access Freight Logistics offers Road freight solutions, both locally, as well as cross-border. Our relationship with loyal transporters which have been built over time and on high cargo volumes gives Access Freight Logistics a competitive advantage in transport solutions.
We can also provide road bond facilities for cross-border transits. Armed guards and convoys can also be deployed when necessary.
The Access freight Group utilizes Transnet Freight Rail to move high volumes of containers to various ports within South Africa, and is committed to supporting rail transport by investing in its own rail sidings and rail infrastructure at the container freight station in Durban. There are distinct advantages in utilizing rail and Access Freight Logistics strategic goal is to grow the freight rail business. Access Freight Logistics receives export shipments of copper by rail for containerization in Durban before sampling and shipping.
Access Freight Logistics is involved in projects to and from Africa transiting the Durban port. These projects often involve abnormal and out of gauge containerized and non-containerized cargo. We have the capacity and expertise to handle most cargo types and provide duty paid and bonded transit storage services.
Fresh Produce
Access Freight Logistics has high capacity PPECB approved warehousing suitable for staging ambient temperature for export containerized exports. We also have 12 existing reefer points with expansion possibilities.
Automotive
Access Freight Logistics is a leader in handling containerized automotive vehicle imports into Africa. Our container freight station has all the handling and storage facilities near the port necessary to minimize transit times to the dealerships or to store vehicles directly into bond.
Access Freight Logistics regularly handles 500 FEU’s per month of automotive vehicles imported through the Durban port.
Unitized cargo
Access Freight Logistics handles all types of unitized cargo including paper reels, tobacco cartons, bulk bags and flow bins.
Copper
Access Freight Logistics has specialist experience in handling copper for export from Zambia by road and rail.
Bulk Minerals
Access Freight Logistics has a Minerals management team dedicated to South African bulk mineral exports requiring sampling and containerization. Our expertise in handling containerized export minerals has been developed from our ten year management experience in moving minerals from the DRC, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

We have the most organized and uncongested receiving and loading facilities in Durban.
For fine Chromes we have the cleanest 10 000 m² under roof receiving and container packing warehouse in the industry. For lumpy chrome we have a clean hard surface 10 000 m² yard with weighbridges and large separation bollards.
Our Clearing and forwarding offices are situated at the loading point to manage urgent time sensitive shipment deadlines.
Our staff is well trained in minerals handling practices, information systems and procedures that ensures conformance to customer requirements. Our clients are not required to login for track and trace information our customer service staff are in constant contact to update clients on the status of each consignment.
